Advertising transparency

How advertising works on Havkey

A few places on Havkey are paid. Each one carries the “Advertisement” label and says who paid for it. Advertising never changes trust levels, rankings or the “Recommended” order.

How to recognise an ad

Every paid place shows the “Advertisement” label. Tap it, or “Why am I seeing this?” next to it, to see the advertiser, the type of placement and who the ad is shown to.

Paid placements

Where a placement has a limit, the limit is real: we never sell more ads than there are places, so ads don’t crowd out the catalogue.

  • City top

3 places per city at a time

A separate “Advertisement” row above the search results and on the city page (and its districts). Shown only when the project matches the buyer’s filters.

  • Highlighted card

    No limit on places

A coloured frame and the “Advertisement” label on the project card in every list.

  • Home page showcase

4 places per country at a time

An “Advertisement” strip on the home page of the country.

  • Email digest slot

1 place per city at a time

An “Advertisement” block in email alerts to buyers who follow the city.

  • Listing boost

6 places per city, 3 shown at a time

The “Advertisement” row at the top of the city’s resale listings, shown only when the flat matches the buyer’s filters. Up to 6 boosted flats per city take turns: 3 are shown at a time, rotating every hour.

  • Highlighted listing

    No limit on places

A frame and the “Advertisement” label on the listing card.

  • Featured agency

2 places per city at a time

An “Advertisement” place above the city’s agency ranking. The ranking below does not change.

Who can advertise

  • Developers who claimed their page and have the “Confirmed by developer” level or higher, for their published projects.
  • Agencies and agents, for listings that passed our review and are live.
  • Verified agencies, for the “Featured agency” place in their city.
  • Demo data is never advertised.

What targeting we use

Ads are chosen by place only: the city you search in or follow in email alerts, or the country of the home page. In the city rows we also apply the filters of that search, such as budget or rooms, so an ad never shows a project or flat that doesn’t match them. We don’t build advertising profiles, don’t use your personal data or browsing history to choose ads, and advertisers can’t target people.

How to report an ad

If an ad misleads, breaks the law or isn’t labelled, email us the page address and what is wrong. We review every report and take down ads that break our rules or the law. On a project page you can also use “Report an inaccuracy”.
